As a Suffolk County Legislator, I’ve delivered millions of dollars of funding to repair our broken infrastructure and to bolster our transportation system.

At the national level, it’s time to have a real conversation about infrastructure. Our roads are crumbling, our bridges are in disrepair and though this makes for a good campaign talking point, nothing ever gets done. This is a bipartisan issue that could fix the system and put working people back to work – in good-paying union jobs.

In Suffolk, I have been a leading voice in the fight for a functioning public transportation system. I’ve worked with our state partners to increase funding and improve efficiencies, and to ensure that the system works for riders.

I’ve also been a steadfast advocate for affordable housing options – because young people can’t afford to stay here and older people can’t afford to retire here. Losing these critical generations is to the detriment of our economy and our way of life.
